When the Mayor Comes to Skid Row
 | . The mayor, huizar, and jan perry get the shaft at their own press conference. Apparently street lights help homeless people on the streets of skid row... but the catholic workers behind their press conference didn't seem to think so! Darn, a greedy politician just can't catch a break. However, the protest signs do make a good backdrop for the mayor during the otherwise lame press conference. The L.A. Times said the mayor was barely audible over the cries of the protesters.. :) |

What's with Venice Beach and 42.15 ?
For those of you who know, they are ammending 42.15 of the LAMC. For those of you who don't know about it don't worry, we're all confused.Apparently they've been bouncing it around city hall for a few months trying to amend it. Why? And why does that matter to food not bombs?

15min. in a parking lot = TRESSPASSING
Santa Cruz is currently fighting a law that would prevent people from remaining in public parking lots for more than 15min. That means if you wanna eat your lunch in your car on your break, you may be cited. Its basically an attack on the shelter-less in a climate zone that averages 30-65 Fahrenheit.
